Income Distribution Alarms Government Officials

Unemployment is at an all-time high. Population growth has already outpaced the rate of job creation almost everywhere. Due to a shift in employment rates, the gap is widening between the wealthy and the poor. America’s middle class is quickly becoming America’s poor class. The startling news about this uneven income distribution has alarmed the federal government.
"Since the economy is not growing at the same rate as population, jobs have become a precious commodities," said Federal Budget Director Howard Coyne. "Populations have strained transportation, education, and energy systems."
Economists say that the aging population, national debt pressures on public spending and entitlements, and pressures on natural resources have dramatically restrained improvements in living standards.
The federal government is trying to stimulate growth in the economy by implementing programs to help the unemployed civilians. The government has recently established a program to educate the unemployed. Because workers with special skills are the most necessary, the government has agreed to send a select group of volunteers to train for their respective jobs. Government officials hope that the skill education will lower the unemployment rate.
